Family Camp/2024 has started
on Manitoulin Island.
Day 1 is nothing short of “great anticipation” for the week to come.
The morning speaker spoke on scattering seeds of hope everywhere, and letting God take care of the rest. Sometimes we pick and choose who or where we should drop a seed of faith into the lives we encounter. In the Parable of the Seeds, Jesus taught that some fall on good soil, others on rocky and gets choked out, while others on hard ground. He desires that ALL to come to Him. Perhaps a word in the right moment is what that person needs for seeds to sprout and create a new life and yearning for the things of God. Be bold to participate in His mission.
God knows every heart.
The next time we feel prompted to speak Jesus into a life,
follow His leading
then let the Lord take care of the rest.
The evening speaker, Jeff Hillier, was amazing and spoke into my life, not only as a believer, but in the work he has set for to do in publishing books during this season of my life.

I have to go back briefly and tell you about a prophesy that was spoken over me years ago. It included Acts 1: 4—8. I was in the “preparation” time of that word, but years later it came to pass. God is faithful and bigger than any dream I can adhere to in my flesh. As foretold: 1) I was plucked out of my life and placed into ministry full time, beginning my time in Jerusalem (my circle of influence) It provided more preparation for the rest of the scripture to unfold. 2) After retirement, He continued the prophesy by gifting me with stories, taking the words in my books and delivering them to “Judea, Samaria, and as far as the ends of the earth.” Internet was not a big thing when I was thirty but at sixty, I can reach the world with His message of hope. This gift is my calling.
Yet, the negatives the world throws at us every day of our lives,
disappointment, hurts, anxiety, loss of hope for a fallen world… wear us down.
These are in our news bulletins every day.
THE REMEDY IS FAITH: WALK ON THE WINNING SIDE!
Tonight, the preacher addressed that issue. Free God up to move by anticipating that God will show when we step out in faith.
The same paths we chose to walk in the past that have led us to this moment in our present, works the same way for tomorrow: Every decision that we make today will influence not only ours but perhaps someone else in the future. That is an awesome thought to keep at the forefront of our daily dealings.
Breakdown of Acts 1: 4-8 Live with Great Expectancy!
1.Anticipate what God has already spoken into our life: The passing of time or obstacles that might have come against our promises, all serve to dull the vision.
Restore your faith. He is faithful to bring His promises to pass.
2.Anticipate a heavenly perspective: God’s perspective will bring opportunities we could never imagine. Don’t put Him in a box. Anticipate something supernatural to happen as a result of your words, in your relationships, and in God-inspired moments.
See beyond your Jerusalem and expect God to move.
3.Anticipate Surprises: (Acts. 2) “His ways are not our ways” Find joy in the surprises he brings your way. Expect them. He longs to show up in unexpected moments. When life or circumstances get us down, look up and keep the faith burning in your soul. Stay positive and keep clear of negative space.
WOW Moments!
MY Interpretation:
Many of you know me as an author of faith-driven fiction romance. In light of the “prophetic word” spoken over me years ago, and God’s definite leading to bring it to pass, this message pierced my heart. I have published (with Him as my co-author) over 100 books for readers who enjoy historical and contemporary Christian romance.
His Good News threads through the plots and characters to inspire and reach hearts who need a word of encouragement or even direction. I love to hear from readers when something pops out and blesses them. My promoting skills are not up to par, but I believe God knows every heart across the uttermost parts of the earth who need to hear that nugget of truth encased within a fictional word. Entertainment and truth can go hand in hand and my ministry as an author has proven it.
Thank you for your support and your feedback.
Still, the publishing business is not what it used to be. The world is coming against Christian authors who not only want to put out clean wholesome entertaining stories for your reading pleasure, but make a spiritual impact for eternity. My faith was boosted today, and I will continue to plant those seeds and pray for God to bring in the harvest on the huge world platform He has provided authors. I believe for the unexpected to happen.
Where do you fit in?
We all have a ministry, a gifting He wants to use. There are many parts of the body, not one more important than the other. We are co-partners in kingdom building. Spread the Good News—He wins in the end. Not the dictators, war lords, bullies, negativity, or wrong teaching that tickle ears. Everlasting joy in His presence awaits those who choose to bow their knee.
Christian authors—be encouraged and fight the good fight. Expect the unexpected!
Readers—be inspired in faith, hope and love, and support the authors you love with prayer.
Until next time,
Marlene from Heartwarming Romance, signing off.
