Happy Canada Day 2020

Happy Birthday to my home and native land - Canada.

It is a hot and humid day in Paris, Ontario, and many of the usual fanfare events that occur are cancelled due to the Pandemic.
But our hearts will celebrate, nonetheless, for we are alive and breathing, with friends and family, enjoying the great outdoors that Creator God has provided for us. I have much to be thankful for.
Hope you are enjoying your Canada Day celebrations with those you care about while still attempting to keep the safeguards in place. I am not a fan of fireworks online - I'd much rather experience them laying on the grass and looking toward the heavens. Something about the atmosphere that cannot be duplicated on a computer screen.
Barbecues and outside movie nights are the go-to at our camp this week. Campfires are burning well into the night, and children and adults alike are roasting marshmallows and eating the gummy - but yummy - mess off the stick.
The usual community fair and children's games are not going to happen, and the Christian concert in the tabernacle will not be a source of entertainment. But we enjoy what we can, when we can, and move forward. Drop me a line and let me know what celebrations you are up to this year.
As a snowbird, I enjoy time in both Canada and the United States - as following the summer weather is my primary goal. The two countries, although side by side are different in many ways, but people in general (at least the ones I know), are the same and I love many on both sides of the border.
Canada is where I was born and where I will die, hopefully. There is never anything that can replace a person's homeland. It's built into our hearts! Hubby and I love to travel, see sights all around the world, but something in me sighs with relief when my feet touch Canadian soil again, and I am home.
I am sure you all feel the same about your country.
So, I just wanted to drop a note out there to say Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends and to my American friends, your 4th of July is right around the corner. Blessings to all.
I am busy promoting today! A person can't take the entire day off - lol - Christmas Hearts in July released this morning and I hope you all picked it up. Love this bit of Christmas fun - even though the temperature is scorching hot! I will envision 's n o w' to cool me off. Before I go, here is the link, in case you'd like to pick up the fun, contemporary, holiday romance book.
Until next time, spread a little love around your world.
Hugs and prayers from Heartwarming Romance,
Marlene.
